Devotees fear the gods’ anger as festivals are curbed in Nepal!

The revered living goddess will not be leaving her temple this year due to the Covid 19 virus.

The Old Palace courtyard and temples are all locked up by the government to try and curb the spread of Covid 19.

This is the first time the Festival has ever been cancelled and many devotees are worried of the consequences of this.  So much so that a small group of devotes slipped through the security to pray before the living goddess, so that she would know that she hadn’t been forgotten.  In this way they hope to escape any punishment by their gods.
