The Vitality London 10000 Run was a Blast – again!

At the 2019 Vitality London 10000 run we had four runners who were able to run, and three of those were running in the first and fastest wave, the fourth running in the second wave. Steve, Eric, James and Matthew were all looking forward to the run as they are keen runners and it helps to have the buzz of a big event like this to help you along. Richmond May Fair!!

Saturday 11th May dawned bright and beautiful and stayed that way all day despite rain being forecast. NLT was on Richmond Green for its annual fair and we did well, with good sales and good conversations about our work. Hopefull new friends and supporters were made. Looking forward now to Ham fair and St Margarets Fair in the next few months. Hopefully they will be sunny days too!

Bob’s Walk Completed – 3rd September 2016

Since March, the Rev. Bob Higham, a former trustee of NLT, has been walking the 96-mile England-Scotland border in various stages to raise funds for NLT. Accompanied by his daughter Shirley and friend Colin, they completed their endeavour on 3rd September, arriving triumphantly at the cliffs above the North Sea. A New Year Begins…

Greetings from NLT in 2016! The last part of 2015 has been hard with the strike and acute shortages of fuel, gas, medicines and many staple foods. Patient numbers at Lalgadh have dropped as people needing help cannot travel, and we mostly cannot get to them either. Particularly sad has been the disastrous affect of these shortages on the relief work that has been taking help to people in the hill districts affected by the earthquakes. Sponsored Walk – Perfect weather, great company, lovely scenery

The NLT sponsored walk along the Thames happened on schedule on Saturday 19th, and was blessed with sunshine for the whole walk. It was slow going as we dawdled with small children, enjoying the views, but we made it back to the NLT office late in the afternoon to a reward of scones, cream and strawberry jam.
