It is now quite a number of years since Eileen was actively engaged in working with the organizations she founded, and she has been largely wheelchair or bed-bound in Kathmandu since a hip operation had a poor outcome several years ago. At 91 years, Eileen needs care day and night which is provided by four faithful Nepali carers. She has continued to be an encouragement and blessing to many, and is loved and appreciated by Nepalis as can be seen by the certificates of appreciation around her room.
NLT UK still covers the cost of rent for Eileen’s house in Kathmandu, and friends in the UK have been sending her a small pension to cover her basic needs and care costs, but with the passage of time and lower exchange rates, funds are running low.
