It has arrived at last! We shall be meeting up for our next walk for NLT this coming Saturday 15th September at Windsor Great Park, a beautiful area near Windsor Castle. The meeting point will be the middle car park (roughly where Prince Consort’s Drive crosses the A332) of the three on the north side of the A332, between Windsor and North Ascot. The parking is near a pedestrian crossing with traffic lights, and a manned gate into the park, and is free of charge. Toilets are further round so make sure you are comfortable before you start. We will meet up there between 10am and 10.20am for a 10.30am start.
The walk will take us past Saville Gardens (where there are toilets, plus more in the Virginia Water side of the Park) and the Valley Gardens, with some famous views along the way. The walk will also take us around the beautiful Virginia Water Lake.
Previous walks have all been very enjoyable, and a good opportunity to chat about NLT as well as experience Surrey nature at its best. We hope to round off this walk with a strawberry and cream tea. Previous teas have been great!
Please bring a packed lunch with something to drink, and the usual waterproofs and walking kit appropriate for a 10 mile or so walk. If you get lost, please ring Mike on 07932 621391. It would be helpful to let us know if you plan to come so we can look out for you. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Looking forward to seeing some of you there.
