World Leprosy Day 27th January 2019

World Leprosy Day is observed internationally every year on the last Sunday of January, to increase public awareness of leprosy. This day was chosen in commemoration of the death of Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of India who had great sympathy for the poor and understood the importance of helping people with leprosy, who are mostly amongst the very poorest. Please consider holding a coffee morning for NLT to raise some funds for our work in Nepal. We can provide leaflets, powerpoint presentations, pictures, handicrafts for sale, etc, to support an event that you put on. Contact us by email: info@nlt.org.uk or telephone: 0208 940 1200
